NHL Sniper's Shelf Life

Understanding the shelf life of players is an important element of team management, especially in a cap league. Early this week, Tyler Dellow did some excellent research for his article Why trading Max Pacioretty is a must for Canadiens. Last month, I also tweeted on the same subject - assessing a player's value in relation to age. Using similar data/perimeters (but not identical), our research concluded the same as Mr. Dellow. Below is the data visualization.
